Financial Distress
On October 4, Professor Dalie Jiménez and her co-authors will present their findings from "Improving the Lives of Individuals in Financial Distress: A Randomized Control Trial to Determine What Works and an Investigation into the Debt Collection Industry" to representatives from the FTC and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
Professor Jiménez joined the UConn Law faculty in fall 2011.Before entering legal academia, she practiced litigation at Ropes & Gray, clerked for the Honorable Juan R. Torruella in the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit, and worked on consumer protection issues at the Massachusetts State Senate.

On May 15, Professor Darcy Kirk will be the luncheon speaker at the annual meeting of the New Jersey Law Librarians Association where she will update the group on the activities of the Association of American Law Libraries (AALL). Kirk currently serves as president of the AALL.
