Civil procedure is one of the more daunting 1L courses, what with all those rules and complicated doctrines. But have no fear - Dr. Seuss is here!

Professor Elizabeth Burch of Florida State Univ. College of Law uses the rhymes of Dr. Seuss to help explain civil procedure in her article There’s a Pennoyer in My Foyer: Civil Procedure According to Dr. Seuss. In it, she covers such topics as the court system, jurisdiction, the Erie doctrine, pleading, discovery, and joinder.
