The 2012 regular session of the Connecticut General Assembly convenes on February 8.  If you’re interested in following legislation introduced in this session, you might find the General Assembly’s bill tracking service useful.

This free service provides email alerts whenever there is activity affecting any of the bills that you designate.  You can track individual bills, or all bills introduced or co-sponsored by a particular legislator.  The emails include links to any bills that have a status change.  Click here to sign up for the service.

To locate bills, go to the legislative search page.  To find bills on a particular topic, use the Subject Index to Bills A-Z.  You can either search for a topic or click on the letter that corresponds to the topic you are interested in.  A report from the Office of Legislative Research summarizes the major issues likely to be covered by the General Assembly in the 2012 regular session.
