Changing Minds

On November 13, Professor James Stark will present "Changing Minds: The Work of Mediators and Empirical Studies of Persuasion" at Washington University Law. The presentation is part of a roundtable on "New Directions in Clinical Education and Alternative Dispute Resolution" that is being sponsored by the Washington University Journal of Law & Policy.

Professor Starks is director of the Law School's Mediation Clinic. He has been a clinical law teacher for 35 years, first at the Washington College of Law, American University and since 1979 at the University of Connecticut School of Law. He supervised students in a wide variety of representational matters, including prison legal services, special education and housing, and employment discrimination cases, before launching the Mediation Clinic in 1994.
