Car Pools

The University encourages car-pooling as a means of conserving energy and reducing congestion. Students who wish to form car pools are asked to register their car pool groups with the UConn Police Department. Such groups will receive special car pool parking permits. For these purposes, a car pool is defined as a group of three or more persons who, on a regular basis, commute to and from the campus in one passenger vehicle. The members of the group will be issued one special car pool parking permit per group for common use.
