The Business and Human Rights Resource Centre is an up-to-date guide to the human rights records, both positive and negative, of over 4,000 businesses worldwide, in over 180 different countries. It includes more than 50,000 links to a wide range of material published by academic institutions, policy experts, business organizations, NGOs, intergovernmental organizations, courts, governments, legal organizations, and more. Topics include discrimination, poverty and development, labor, the environment, access to medicines, health and safety, security, and trade. In an effort to maintain balanced coverage, the Centre seeks responses from companies and provides examples of "best practices" on the website.

Material is multilingual, containing items in English, Spanish, French, Portuguese, and German. You can either search for material or browse the online library by company name, issue, country, or general topic. The site includes a Corporate Legal Accountability Portal which summarizes precedent-setting human rights lawsuits from across the globe and provides commentary specially written for the portal by leading practitioners and experts, including some who have brought lawsuits against companies and others who have represented them. A portal for all materials related to the work of the UN Secretary General’s Special Representative on business and human rights is also included. The site is updated hourly with news and reports, and you can register for free weekly updates of top stories and breaking news.
