Advice to 1L’s: Critique Your Own Case Briefs

A recent post from The Law School Academic Support Blog advises students to critique their own case briefs after class as a way of becoming more adept at analyzing and briefing cases.

The blog suggests that this method will increase students’ ability to select the correct facts, issues, and reasoning to include in their briefs.  It also suggests that students meet with their professors if their briefs consistently lack the elements emphasized by their professors in class.
