Tuition waivers
By state statute, tuition may be waived for:
Any dependent child of a person whom the armed forces of the United States has declared to be missing in action or to have been a prisoner of war while serving in the armed forces after January 1, 1960, provided the person missing in action or a former prisoner of war was a resident of Connecticut at the time of entering the service of the armed forces or was a resident of Connecticut while so serving;
Any veteran having served in the time of war as defined by subsection (a) of Section 27-103 of the Connecticut General Statutes. or who served in either a combat or combat support role in the invasion of Grenada; the invasion of Panama, the peace keeping mission in Lebanon, or Operation Earnest Will, provided the veteran is a resident of Connecticut at the time of the acceptance for admission; (Information regarding specific dates of service required to satisfy the statute and waiver forms are available from the Veteran's Center, Wilbur Cross Building, Room 221, Storrs, CT 06268. Veterans must provide a form DD214 [Separation of Service].)

Any Connecticut resident sixty-two years or older who has been accepted in the Juris Doctor program.
If any person who receives a tuition waiver in accordance with this subsection also receives educational reimbursement from an employer, the waiver shall be reduced by the amount of the educational reimbursement.
There is no waiver or remission of June Term fees, or LL.M. fees.
