Arrangements For Student-Sponsored Activities

Student organizations or other individual students or groups of students wishing to sponsor activities of whatever type to be held on the campus of the Law School must comply with the following procedures.

  • There is an Events Management web page that was set up to assist with planning events at the Law School.Planning groups or individuals are encouraged to contact either Julia Dunlop or Michelle Helmin for additional information if needed.

  • Please see the Budget Worksheet
  • Please see the Event Planning guide
  • Contact the Communications/Information Center in the lobby of Hosmer Hall, Room 103, 570-5000, to reserve the space desired for the meeting or activity being planned.
  • Obtain the School of Law Room Reservation Form. This form is also available from the person on duty at the Communications/Information Center. Complete the form and present it to the Office of the Associate Dean for Finance and Administration for approval. Copies of the approved form will be distributed to the appropriate individuals and departments.
  • Arrangements for student-sponsored activities which may require special services on the part of Maintenance and/or the Department of Public Safety should be made a minimum of four (4) weeks in advance of the planned event. The sponsoring organization or students will be required to reimburse the University for the cost of such services. If in doubt as to whether such special services will be required, the sponsoring organization or students should contact the associate dean for finance and administration, Chase Hall, Room 104, well in advance of the event being planned.
