JD Admissions
Application deadline extended to April 15, 2013
June 10, 2013 LSAT accepted for Fall 2013 admission
Due to severe weather conditions, a large portion of the United States faced a significant number of cancellations and subsequent re-scheduling of the February LSAT. As a result, a number of a number of potential applicants were unable to sit for the rescheduled LSAT. Therefore, the Law School has decided to extend the last acceptable LSAT administration date to include the June 10, 2013 test. Any applicant wishing to apply with June test scores should submit all other application materials needed to complete the file by April 15, 2013. Additionally, June test takers should send an email to the Admissions Office at admissions@law.uconn.edu indicating that the file should be held for review pending receipt of the June LSAT score.
The University of Connecticut School of Law, one of the leading public law schools in the United States, provides a comprehensive and progressive education in which students are exposed to both theoretical and practical aspects of the legal profession. The course of study reflects the diversity and intellectual ambition of the students and faculty. The Law School prides itself on a high level of civil discourse. The environment is collegial, and the unusually low student-to-teacher ratio engenders a collegial environment and assures close contact with some of the nation's leading legal practitioners and scholars.
The Law School's beautiful 21-acre campus is listed on the National Register of Historic Sites, and has been augmented with high tech classrooms and a majestic modern library. Equally inviting is the campus' surrounding area, the splendidly historic West End of Hartford. Beautiful and architecturally significant homes abound, many of which provide living accommodations for students. This neighborhood of quiet grandeur is merely part of a vibrant metropolitan area rich in tradition that offers widely varied dining and entertainment choices, and serves as home, merely 10 minutes from campus, to the state legislature, the Governor and the state Supreme Court.
