This seminar will examine the evolution of domestic violence law, policy and reform in several key arenas including criminal justice, civil law, constitutional law and immigration. The course will explore how current law, policy, and legal theory attempt to address -- and effect -- the social problem of domestic violence. The course will included practice-oriented exercises and skills building around the topic of lawyering in the domestic violence context.
