The criminal appellate clinic provides detailed training in Connecticutl appellate law and practice, the Connecticut penal code, and constitutional criminal procedure, with special emphasis on appellate brief writing and oral advocacy skills.

  • Notes: Upon successful enrollment in the clinic, students will be enrolled by the Office of the Registrar in an additional component of the course (additional 2 credits). The actual enrollment limit of this course is 10 students, 5 seats have been reserved for 2L students. The requisites of Criminal Procedure and Evidence (LAW 7645 and 7560) have been removed to permit priority enrollment. Students who do not meet the requisites of the course will need instructor permission to remain enrolled.
