Clinic: Women's Rights

This is a clinic from which students work with a government agency, law firm, or public interest group that specializes in the area of women's rights law and litigation. Placements are open, but not limited to, organizations which focus on the following legal issues: sex discrimination, sexual harassment, battered women and children, divorce and family law, and legislative research and lobbying. Students meet regularly with a faculty member to submit progress reports. Students also are required to complete a written project under the joint supervision of the faculty member and placement supervising attorney. Externship clinics are ungraded. LAW 843 is the seminar component of the clinic. This must be taken concurrently with LAW 643, the fieldwork component of the clinic.
