Administrative Law

This course explores the process by which power is exercised by federal government agencies in the United States, the mechanisms by which their exercise of power is guided and constrained. In the course of this exploration, students confront a number of the principle dilemmas of regulation, the controversies surrounding agency efforts to cope with these dilemmas, and the arguments for and against leading regulatory experiments and proposals for regulatory reform.
