Street Law in the Community

  • Class number: 12805
  • Term: Fall 2006
  • Instructor:

Street Law is a community oriented legal education program. Our broader goals include providing practical legal knowledge, mentoring and skill enhancement by pairing law students with non-traditional students in the Greater Hartford community. Law students go into structured education settings (such as schools for pregnant teens) to bring practical law to students at varying academic levels. Law students are encouraged to work with outside resource people and social service professionals in the community to develop life-skills workshops that assist teens in the evaluation of future education and employment opportunities
