This course is a review of the forms of legal and equitable remedies, such as injunction, specific performance, rescission, restitution, declaratory judgment, and damages. Consideration is given to the use of various remedies to protect tangible and intangible property interests as well as personal and civil rights, and to principles governing the scope and availability of remedies and grounds for choosing among remedies. The principles are considered not only for their advantage to the litigants, but also for their role in socially optimizing behavior. Students who have taken Equitable Remedies (Law 946 ) are not eligible to receive credit for this course.
