Recent Cases

This course is aimed at demonstrating various methods and styles for keeping up to date in one's chosen field. Lawyers are routinely called upon to continue to read the work of the nation's courts and to assess its significance for their clients and for their practice. In this course, a different member of the Faculty each week will select a recent case of special interest in his or her chosen field and present both the case and relevant commentary to the class. Class sessions will be open to the entire law school community. Assessment of students will be based on completing two very short papers about two of the cases during the semester. Papers must be turned in prior to class discussion of the case. Enrollment is limited to 15 students. Grading will be pass/fail. One credit.
