Alternative Dispute Resolution

Is an examination of the various available means, short of litigation, of processing disputes in our society. In the first part of this course, students will survey some of the principle theoretical issues concerning negotiation, mediation, arbitration and other 'mixed' alternative dispute resolution processes. In the second part of the course, students will present research papers and lead class discussions on topics of their own choosing.
