This course is an introduction to the types of regulation of the workplace, including the common law of contracts and torts, collective bargaining, government regulation via statutes and administrative agencies, and judicial review of, and constitutional limits on, these arrangements. Specific topics may include, among others, job security, discrimination and harassment in the workplace, occupational health and safety, employee financial security plans, privacy, tenure, business closings and relocations, and the rights of public employees.
